Sisters of Solace, a local St. Joseph home for healing women, hosted a ribbon cutting event today in recognition of their new candle making business.

The Sisters of Consolation shop makes candles, body butters, and body baths, although they are best known for their candles. The shop is located in the Christopher S. Kit Bond Science and Technology Incubator.

Sisters of Solace is a ministry that provides a safe home for six women healing from trauma and addiction for one year. The organization not only offers a home, but also orientation for a better life. The women also have the opportunity to find work through the program, including in the shop of the Sisters of Consolation.
