The Missouri Department of Agriculture is reminding all interested parties that the Focus on Missouri Agriculture photo contest is Friday, November 11th.

The competition is open to amateur photographers of all ages from across the state. Entrants can submit up to three photos in the Beauty of the Farm, Faces of the Farm, The Farmer’s Life and Pride of the Farm categories. For photographers under the age of 12 there is also a special category called “Children’s Barnyard”.

Submissions will be judged on their visual impact, creativity, memorable content and image quality and must be submitted by Friday, June 11th, 5:00 p.m. To submit photos, amateur photographers can fill out the online form at Agriculture.Mo.Gov/focus.

Photos submitted for the competition will be posted on the department’s Flickr stream and the competition winners will be announced in July. The winning photos will be on display at the Missouri State Fair Farm Building in Sedalia August 12-22.
