Andrew County

Interstate 229 – resurfacing project from I-29 north of St. Joseph to Route 371 (mile marker 14-3) by mid-September. A lane will be closed around the paving work, which is expected to last until June.

    • I-229 north to I-29 south (exit 14A) June 15-22, 24/7 lockdown
    • I-29 north to I-229 south (exit 56B) June 16-17, 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
    • Southbound US Route 71 to Southbound I-229 June 16-17, 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
    • South I-29 to South I-229 (exit 56B) June 18-19, 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

I-29 bridge replacement project north over Hopkins Creek (mile marker 58) by September. There is head-to-head traffic in the southbound lanes. This bridge is part of Governor Mike Parson’s $ 351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.

  • CLOSED Head north for the placement of the bridge beams, June 14-17, 6:00 p.m. to midnight every evening. Traffic is directed to a signposted detour via US Route 71 and US Route 59.

Atchison County

I-29 – Bridge replacement project for the Nishnabotna River Bridges in north and south (mile marker 122-124) by August 2022. One lane in both directions can be closed due to overpass construction. Traffic is expected to move head-to-head in the southbound lanes for the week of June 21st. Buchanan County

I-229 – Surface renewal project from Route 371 to I-29, north of St. Joseph (mile marker 3-14) by mid-September. A lane will be closed around the paving work, which is expected to last until June.

US Route 36 – Guardrail, paving repair and resurfacing between the Missouri River and 0.75 miles east of Route AC by early August. A width restriction of 12 feet applies.

9th street – CLOSED to repair the bridge joint under the flyover of US Route 36, June 14-17, daily 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

I-29 – Bridge sealing project from Route 6 (Frederick Boulevard) to US Route 36. This includes the CLOSURE of the Shamrock Cross on US Route 36, June 15, 7 am-4pm

Carroll County

Section Z – Closed until further notice from Route C to County Road 217 due to slide damage and ongoing geological studies.

Route D – CLOSED in sections for a seal coat project from Route 10 to Mooresville, Livingston County, June 14-15, 7:30 pm-4:00pm daily

Charitonton district

Route 139 – CLOSED for a bridge replacement project on the Grand River Overflow Bridge by early July. This bridge is part of Governor Mike Parson’s $ 351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state. Route D – CLOSED for a Seal Coat project from Route 5 to Route 129, June 16-18, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily

Clinton County

I-35 – Repair the sidewalk from Route 116 to Shoal Creek by June. There will be intermittent road closures with a width limit of 10 feet.

Route K – Pavement Repair, June 14th. Flaggers and a pilot car will guide drivers through the work zone.

US Route 169 – Route F to Route Z supply works, June 15-August 2

District of DeKalb

US Route 36 – Sidewalk repair, guardrail improvements, and resurfacing in a westerly direction from east of Route 31 to Route C and east from Route 33 to the Grindstone River by July. A width restriction of 12 feet applies for the duration of the project.

Gentry County

US Route 169 – CLOSED for a bridge deck replacement project over the Middle Fork of the Grand River, near Gentry, by early August. This bridge is part of Governor Mike Parson’s $ 351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.
