Serious injuries were sustained in an accident in Nodaway County this morning.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a vehicle being driven by 70-year-old Skidmore resident Carla J. Taylor was attempting to turn left onto Missouri 113, 1 mile south of Quitman, when it got in the path of one of their driven vehicle turned in by 38 year old Joshua J. Cronk of Burlington Junction.

Cronk tried to evade the vehicle, but hit the rear driver’s door. His vehicle overturned and came to rest on the passenger side.

Cronk was transported to Mosaic, Maryville, seriously injured.

The accident occurred around 8:30 a.m. this morning and was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, with assistance from the Nodaway County Sheriff’s Department.
