St. Joseph, Mo. – The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction that the Missouri Department of Transportation has planned for the week of May 3-9 in the Northwest Missouri area.

All road closures and planned road works can be viewed on the travel information map at http://traveler.modot.org/map/.

Bad weather can lead to changes in the schedule for some scheduled work. In addition to the work listed below, there may be relocation work throughout the region.

Andrew County

Interstate 29 bridge replacement project heading north over Hopkins Creek (mile marker 58) by September. There is head-to-head traffic in the southbound lanes. This bridge is included in Governor Mike Parson’s $ 351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.

US Route 59 – Surface renewal project from I-29 to US Route 71 May 7-25. Flaggers and a pilot car will guide drivers through the work zone. There is a 12 foot width limit for the duration of the project.

I-29 – Bridge maintenance at Mill Creek Bridge (mile marker 62) May 3-5. The lane closure remains in place around the clock along with a 12 foot width restriction.

Route Z – Pothole patching from I-29 to Route W, May 3-6

Route TT – Pothole Patching from O Avenue to S Avenue May 3-6

U.S. Routes 71 and 169, U.S. Business Route 71, Routes 48, E, H, K, T, and Y – Bridge Flush May 3-6

Route D – Drainage 0.5 miles north of US Route 169, May 4th

US Route 169 – Drainage works from 305 County Road to 351 County Road on May 5th

Route AA – CLOSED for a seal coating project, May 6, 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Route H – Maintenance of the bridge at Lincoln Creek Bridge, south of Fillmore, May 6th. Temporary traffic signals will be in place to guide motorists through the work zone.

Atchison County

Route 111 – Resurfacing project from Route E to Route 111 lane (Holt County) by mid-May

I-29 – Repairing sidewalks in the southbound lane at Rock Creek Bridge (mile marker 107.4) May 3-7. The lane closure remains open around the clock.

Buchanan County

US Route 169 (Belt Highway) – Traffic in the lanes north from north of Floral Avenue to north of Summit Avenue is head-to-head due to a water pipe disruption and damage to the pavement. No left turns are permitted in the area of ​​head-to-head traffic.

US Route 36 – Guardrail, repair and renewal of sidewalks between the Missouri River and 0.75 miles east of Route AC by early August. There is a 12 foot width restriction.

9th Street – US Route 36 eastbound ramp CLOSED as part of the road repair project on US Route 36 through May 14th. This will be a 24/7 closure.

I-229, US Routes 169 and 59, and Routes 6 and AC bridge maintenance, May 3-5

I-229 – Bridge Flush, May 3-5

I-229 – Ramp from I-229 south to I-29 north CLOSED For ongoing environmental renovations and road repairs from May 3rd to 6th. This is a 24/7 closure.

Route M – drainage works, May 3-6

Caldwell County

US Route 36 – Walkway resurfacing and repair through Counties of Caldwell, Livingston and Linn by mid-June. There will be intermittent road closures with a 14-foot width restriction.

Route E – Pothole Patching, May 3-4

Route Underground Bridge maintenance at Tom Creek Bridge, east of Route 13, May 4-5. Temporary traffic lights are installed to guide motorists through the work zone.

Carroll County

Route Z – Closed until further notice from Route C to County Road 217 due to damage caused by a road slide and ongoing geological studies.

Chariton County

Route 139 – CLOSED for a bridge replacement project on the Grand River Overflow Bridge by July. This bridge is included in Governor Mike Parson’s $ 351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state. Route DD – CLOSED for the exchange of the passage from route D to route O from May 3rd to 6th daily from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Route CC – Maintenance of the bridge at Yellow Creek Bridge north of Mendon May 5-6. This is a round-the-clock blocking of the lanes.

Clinton County

I-35 – Repair the roadway from Route 116 to Shoal Creek by mid-July. There will be intermittent road closures with a 10 foot width restriction.

I-35 – Ramps CLOSED for milling as part of the road repair project on the driveways and exits to the north and south on US Route 69 (exit 48) from May 3 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Route 116 – Concrete repair on US Route 169, May 5th. Motorists cannot continue straight through the intersection on Route 116 and must turn onto US Route 169. Flaggers are in place to guide motorists through the work zone.

Daviess County

Route V – Pothole Patching, May 3-4

Route 6 – Bridge Flushing, May 4-5

Route M – Pothole patches, May 5-6

Route Y – CLOSED to exchange the passage from Route 6 to Reel Avenue, May 6, 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

DeKalb County

Route 33 – Surface renewal project between US Route 36 and Route 6 south of Maysville by mid-May. The road remains open during the project, but a lane can be closed in both directions within the project boundaries. There is a 10 foot width restriction.

US Route 36 – Lane closings and turning restrictions as part of the resurfacing project on Route 33. To safely complete the work on Monday, May 3rd, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the crews will close two lanes of US Route 36:

  • The lane going west (right lane) at the intersection with Route 33
  • The east turn lane from US Route 36 to Route 33

Route EE – CLOSED to replace the culvert south of Wolf Creek Road, May 5, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

US Route 36 – Drainage work heading west 1 mile east of Route 31, May 6th

Grundy County

US Route 65 and Route 6 roadside spray, May 3-6

Route 6 – Shoulder Work West of Trenton May 3-6

Harrison County

Route EE – CLOSED for a bridge deck replacement project over Panther Creek near New Hampton by mid-May. This bridge is included in Governor Mike Parson’s $ 351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state. Route P – CLOSED for a bridge replacement project over White Oak Creek by mid-June. Route B – CLOSED for a culvert change on May 3rd from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

I-35 – Concrete replacement heading south from US Route 136 to Route 13 (mile marker 92 through 88) May 3-6. There will be lane closures around the clock and a 14-foot width restriction.

Route N – Maintenance of the bridge over I-35 May 3-6. This is a 24/7 lane closure with a 12 foot width restriction.

Holt County

Route 111 – Resurfacing project from Route 111 track to Route E (Atchison County) by mid-May

Route B – CLOSED for a bridge deck replacement project near Oregon by July. This project is part of Governor Mike Parson’s $ 351 million Focus on Bridges program, which aims to repair or replace 250 bridges across the state. I-29 – Intermittent road closures in both directions between Exits 67 and 75 as part of a bridge deck replacement project on Route B near Oregon by July. There is a 12 foot width restriction.

County Linn

Livingston County

Route 190 – Bridge maintenance on the Thompson River Bridge west of Chillicothe by mid-May. There is a 12 foot width restriction.

US Route 36 – Walkway resurfacing and repair through Counties of Caldwell, Livingston and Linn by mid-June. There will be intermittent road closures with a 14-foot width restriction.

US Route 36 – Maintenance of the bridge going west at Medicine Creek Bridge, east of Chillicothe, May 3-5. The lanes can be closed around the clock.

Route 190 – Seal Coat project from US Route 65 in Chillicothe to 8 miles west of US Route 65, west of Route N by May 3. A pilot car will guide drivers through the work zone.

Route D – Bridge Maintenance at Shoal Creek Bridge, south of Ludlow, May 3-4. Temporary traffic lights are installed to guide motorists through the work zone.

Mercer County

Route Y – Pavement Repair, May 3-6

Route FF – pothole patches, May 3rd – 6th

Nodaway County

US Route 136 – Resurfacing project between the One Hundred and Two River and Route 46 near Ravenwood by the end of May. US Route 136 remains open, but a lane may be closed in both directions during the project. There is a 12 foot width restriction

US Route 71 – Icon Road Intersection Improvement Project by early June. There is a 12 foot width restriction.

Icon Road – CLOSED at the intersection of US Route 71 for an intersection improvement project by early June

Route FF – Drainage works from 170th Street to 180th Street, May 3rd

Routes AC, NN and ZZ – pothole patching, May 3rd – 6th

Route FF – Drainage works from 160th Street to 170th Street, May 4th

Putnam County

Route JJ – CLOSED for a pass replacement on Lynx Avenue, May 4, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Route 46 – Access canal replacement 1 mile east of Route HH, May 5th
