A St. Joseph man was found guilty of child molestation and is now sentenced in July.
Miguel Coreas, 39, was found guilty of fourth degree child abuse before Division 3 District Court judge Patrick Robb on Wednesday.
Coreas was arrested and sent to Buchanan County Jail last August.
The deputy prosecutor Kristina Zeit called eight witnesses to testify during the trial on Tuesday, including the victim, who was 16 years old at the time of the crime.
The sentencing is scheduled for July 26 at 2 p.m. Coreas face up to four years in prison and a fine of up to $ 10,000.
